There are many drivers undoubtedly planning to squeeze in another summer road trip this month, albeit a late one. But with high gases prices and economic uncertainly, the cost of that road trip might be an impediment.

With the new Cost2Drive application, drivers will be able to determine just how much that road trip will cost. Released just last week, Cost2Drive calculates your vehicle’s mile per gallon rating along with the current gasoline prices on your intended route.

“[The app] also helps [drivers] save money by locating the cheapest gas at refueling points on their trip,” says Jim Kovarik, the President of C2G, the company behind the website and app. “No other mobile application provides this set of features.”

The app is available now for $1.99 for the iPhone. There’s also a website that provides the same trip data.
